You can manage your computer in a different lot of way and some of the most important aspects are discussed in this post. Computer management is the process of managing, monitoring, and optimizing a computer system for performance, availability, security, and/or any base operational requirement.

It is a broad term that includes manual and automated administrative processes in the operations of a computer.

The following guidelines can be applied to properly manage your computer:

1. File System

A file system is a way to organize files on a hard drive. There are many different types of file systems, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. A file system determines how data is stored on a hard drive. When you save a document, image, or video to your computer, the operating system creates a file. That file is saved in a specific location on your hard drive. You can access those files at any time by opening them using Windows Explorer.

2. Registry

The registry is a database of information about programs and hardware installed on your computer. Every program you install adds information to the registry. The registry stores information about what version of a program you have, where you got the program, and if you’ve ever uninstalled the program. If you uninstall a program, the registry records that fact.

3. Desktop

Your desktop is the area of your screen where you normally work. Your desktop contains icons for programs you use frequently. To open a program’s icon, double-click its icon. Double-clicking opens the program.

4. Start Menu

The start menu is the first thing you’ll see when you log onto your computer. Programs you run often appear here. Clicking the start button takes you directly to the start menu.

5. Taskbar

The taskbar is located along the bottom edge of your screen. It shows you running programs and lets you switch between them easily. You can add programs to the taskbar by dragging them from the Windows list.

The control panel is a window that appears whenever you need to adjust something on your computer. You can change settings related to sound, display, networking, and security.

7. Network Places

Network places is a folder that lists computers on your network. You can connect to these computers and share files with them.
